We are an alliance of busy women who want to make a difference and can commit a small amount of time and resources four times a year to streamline fundraising.
About the Meetings:
At each meeting, each committed member (a four meeting, $100 per meeting commitment) will be given an opportunity to nominate a charity you would like to have the group support. Members who choose to nominate place your ballot in the box, and three ballots will be randomly selected.
The three members who have their ballots selected make a presentation as to why this charity should be chosen. Members cannot have someone else make the presentation for them, nor can the CEO or Executive Director of an organization make a presentation.
After all three presentations...WE VOTE! The votes are submitted, tallied, and whichever charity receives the most votes wins! The winner is announced, and each of our members writes a check directly to the winning organization. The checks are collected, the meeting ends, and the donations are presented to the charity on behalf of the group.
The charity selected must be a qualified 501(c)3 organization. The organization must also agree to not solicit the Women Who Care membership in any way, and the non-profit must send you a receipt for your gift. It’s quick, it’s fun, and it makes a huge impact on our community!
